I think its been made clear from the other threads on this subject what the general opinion on this is.

It might help if we knew the truth behind the exodus of Boyd after his numerous efforts and hours getting this place open.

I sincerely think if the owners want the majority of the CRT business that he has now lost back, he should step up and tell the truth as to what happened to expedite Boyd's departure immediately after the Grand Opening.....

Unless Boyd informs the board otherwise, I will not drop a dime in the DI and will speak with disdain of it to any traveler I meet in SJ who will listen. I always enjoyed Boyd's company and think he is a solid guy. I take these friendships serious.

Having spent over 100 days in the Dunn Inn & their apartments in the last year & being a close personal friend of Boyd's & knowing the true story of the dismissal from Boyd, I am voting with my feet & wallet. I will not spend another penny in the Done Inn & encourage all CRT brothers to do the same. What was obviously a preplanned action based on some absurd trumped up personal attacks on Boyd's character tells me there are many other places in SJ for me to spend my time & money. Hope all of you will follow suit & teach the owners that we a truly a brotherhood & stick together.

Gentlemen,

Damage control here may call for a severance/consultant fee in the mid-five figures to the project manager for the expansion of "The Dunn Inn annex" and the rise in business during the period of construction. This is a value for both sides. This would allow Boyd & family the opportunity to relocate, get invoved in a new local project and fairly severe this relationship. Then both parties author a joint letter to the CRT forum stating that BKT has been treated fairly and that Boyd can comfortably recommend the "New Dunn INN" to like minded consumers.

How come the Dunn cannot rehire BK?


As an aside, it is not so much a boycott as people will not want to patronize the Dunn if BK is not there....it is simply a matter of feeling comfortable with the management.....I cannot believe BK is replaceable with someone else for many, many of the guests.

BK made me want to visit the Dunn...not any particular attribute/improvement....rather, simply being comfortable with someone in mangement.

I would hope a solution such as rehiring BK is in the works.
