These morons have moved all the early flights leaving Tucson to Houston and the late flights from Houston to Tucson from Continental to United codes.
So now if you want a to fly all in one day (8-10 hrs) you have to pay $1100 buck to fly Tucson to San Jose (or any other destination connecting in IAH). All other flights have an 9- 10 hour overnight layover coming or going for close to $800.
Looks like American is going to start getting all the business out of this airport.

I've been a Continental frequent flyer for a long time and put about 75k miles a year. I've already started to see the decline in service with the UAL "merger of equals". So far, I haven't seen schedule issues, but normally fly mornings from IAH to SJO as my connection. Hopefully nothing will change. I have a Feb 3 trip planned and all is normal.

Sorry to hear you're getting the merger blues also. I flew to Panama last week and used AA through Miami, it's likely I'll re-evaluate my carrier soon. I just travel so much for work, not sure AA or Delta covers my cities well.
