while calling for reservations, I understand Asta is no longer there, she was a main attraction, great bar and food, anybody know what is up?

Only a rumor, but I also looked for her on my recent trip and was told that she has resigned from Armistad. I'm hoping she shows up again at the Dunn Inn. If Boyd has not already recruited her, then he certainly should. If you agree, then maybe you posting will motivate Asta and Boyd to talk.

one thing for sure she is going to land on her feet. too bad it didn't work out for everyone concerned. sometimes expectations just exceed reality.

My take on it was that Asta and her husband leased the bar and restaurant area. I always felt they were always struggling to make it. Its too bad because it was good food and great service.

Not sure where your getting your information, But it is NOT accurate

Hope its not true that she left the Amistad, but if it is, I am sure she will land on her feet.. Asta is the best

what is not accurate is that her and her husband leased the bar/restaurant... Hope this clears up any confusion...

while it may not have been a lease, my guess is it was about money. as in not enough. then again who amongst us could listen to matt on a daily basis. :mrgreen:

Asta and her now divorced husband did not lease the bar at the Amistad. She resigned from her employment there and is taking a long overdue beach vacation before pursuing new employment.

That is a bummer to hear she is no longer at LA, but I'm sure she is doind what she has to do. She is a queen and one of the nicest people I have ever met in CR.

While I will miss her there, it certainly won't keep me from staying at LA.
