| Post subject: | Transportation direct from SJO to La Fortuna? |
I might be taking a trip to a La Fortuna area resort and am wondering if it is necessary to go into San Jose to catch van type transportation or if I can go directly from the airport upon arrival? |

With the new road you may need to go to SJ, depending on the shuttle you are taking. Old route used to go passing the airport therefore it was on its way. The new road takes you in a different way. Regards |

It's been a few years since I used Interbus. Interbus has an in-bound connection shuttle that takes you to a restaurant at Rio Segundo (a $9.50 one-way fare). From Rio Segundo, you can book to various destinations throughout CR including La Fortuna. |

Depending on your budget, you could resource the list of drivers from this site and arrange for them to meet you at SJO and drive you. Or, depending on which resort you are staying, have them arrange for a van to meet you. I have done both and it has worked well for me. |
