I called and Yahaira said that I had the El "amante" room in the modern wing on 2nd floor. Is that room a good choice?
She said they had El Dorado open too and another 1, I couldn't understand on the 2nd floor...any suggestions or should I stick w/that 1

I know you posted this question about 2 weeks ago but I just read it. You can go to the Sportsmen's website & take their "virtual tour". Once the tour opens, a box on the left side will have a drop down menu. One of the options is to see the Amante room. Looks nice but doesn't have much space to lounge (no table if memory serves). Take a look for yourself.

The shortcut won't take you directly to the room. You'll need to go down the narrow hallway (two green arrows lead you there). Eventually you'll end up in front of the room in question.

You will be quite happy with Amante, tucked away upstairs in the back. I might have stayed a night or two in that room over time

+1 Stayed in Amante and was pleased. No frills just a nice basic room.

Last trip stayed in Mirador, which I have to say may be my least fav of the modern/ mansion rooms. Has a view of the street, but desperately needs some form of blackout curtains. The light pours in this room in the morning
