Finalizing my hotel reservations at SL. For several (5) of the nights my 2 options in the Mansion Wing are Tigre or Leopardo. Haven't stayed in either of these 2 yet. Any recommendations between these 2? I have Toro Negro booked but it was not available for the entire 9 days which is why I have to switch rooms to one of the two mentioned above. Thx. for your input.

I think I was in tigre last trip. My only complaint is it's location next to that small lounge (that's never used). I kind wanted more privacy. Ultimately the main reason I don't want the room again is the lack of a window to the outside. No natural light :(.

I stayed in Tigre in June. I would not recommend that room.
Very noisy and as previously noted no outside window. The window is an interior window.
Lots of noise from the mansion bar in the evening.
Lots of noise from the Maids and others in the morning.
If your a late sleeper don't stay in this room!

Leopardo is nice, lotsa windows, even has a secret entrance :D which is kept gated and locked all the time. Has a little kitchenette, living, large bedroom with king, bathroom. No jacuzzi. But still a very nice room.

Problem Solved! Seems like both Tigre and Leopardo have a few drawbacks but turns out Oso Grande was available so got 2 nights in Toro Negro and 7 nights in Oso Grande. :D :D

oso grande is a great room, i've stayed there and i have it reserved for my next 2 trips.
but my favorite room is Mono, it's very comfortable and has a nice window that opens and you're not looking at ac units, unfortunately it wasn't available for either of my upcoming trips.

I agree. I have stayed in the Mono several times. I would highly recommend that room. It has both a jacuzzi tub and a shower.

Great post, this is what I was looking for. Have the Leopardo booked for 6 nights in august sight unseen. Although I grazed SL web pics, there is only one photo from the entrance looking inside toward the window. First time to stay at SL, but have always enjoyed going there to the bar and shopping.

I have stayed in both and Leopardo wins hands down!!!! The Wifi worked great for me so no problems there and the fact that it is a little apartment makes up for the lack of a tub- the shower easily fits 2 or 3 people so I had no complaints!! I plan to make it the room of my choice every time I stay at the SL and it was quiet enough to sleep well when needed.

Thank you for the post, feel more comfortable hearing it's a good room. When I initially made the reservation, I stated I must have a window. Usually at the Castillo, I was always at SL anyway, it's going to be great just to be able to go to the room there instead of the logistics of getting a chica back somewhere else. :) :)
