I'm staying at the hotel castillo for the first time...does anyone know if it is tica friendly

Almost all places in Costa Rica are "Tica" friendly since it is their country.

Just messin with you TomRG. Tica is the femine nickname for a Costa Rica citizen not for a puta. The term you want is "chica" even though that is the nickname for a female in general not necessarily a puta.

Brother TomRG--YES--they are even spotted occasionally at the back bar (a nice place to hang and if still in town, check out the Sunday BBQ--pull-down screen for sports). OTOH, I don't think the gay male nightclubs and bathhouses are all that Tica-friendly (back atcha, Brother ID).

To more thoroughly answer the original query: Yes, you can bring chicas back to the hotel. I have brought them in two at a time and never had a problem. They check their cedulla at the front desk on the way to the room. Good times.
