Just got back from two days in Jaco. I stayed at Clarita's. Rooms are nothing special, but are clean and the AC works good. The staff was nice. I paid $70 per night (pre-paid), including taxes, etc. - the working girls thought I could have gotten for less as a walk-up. Nice little pool. Right on the Ocean. Restaurant/bar in front with ocean view. The food was surprisingly good. I have a steak done on the grill my first night and it was good and reasonably priced. Had live music on Saturday and Sunday. Located on one end of the beach - not far from the Beatle Bar. The walk into town is fine with me, but didn't do it at night. Security guard available to call taxi for you after restaurant closes.

The tour desk girl, Erica, is very nice. She checked me in and showed me my room. She also helped me get transportation when I decided to head back to San Jose earlier on my last day. Really nice girl and she speak English (she is half Arubian and half Colombian).
