Here's the WSJ travel guy on the new flight-delay rules: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... 56590.html
And here's a little bit on bumping and fee rules: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... 81850.html

I'm all for it but they also said then that they airlines will cancel more flights when they perceive a lengthy delay. Makes even a 3-4 day trip from MIA kinda iffy not to mention not so many good fares these days.

Yeah Brother Jester--the oldest thing is ploy/counter-ploy. Look at the games/workarounds banks are using to get around the new Credit Card rules...The regulators/legislators never seem to look down the road to anticipate the obvious and write rules to herd business to do the right if less profitable thing. And then comes the seemingly endless litigation and new, equally ineffective rules...and the cycle repeats. Maddening, yes? But it keeps the K Street lobbyists and all manner of lawyers in business...and legislators in office and regulators with future employment opportunities.

I dont know about you guys, but Id rather sit my ass in a lounge waiting or an announcement then in some cramped piece of metal next to a whiny K*D waiting/hoping we eventually take off.
