It looks like all the carriers have lowered their prices from ORD to SJO. I think the cheapest is American. Continental after taxes and fees is about $297 and has lots of availability.

ORD -SJO thru DFW runs $416 for 7-21 to 7-26 but DFW-SJO without the extra DFW-ORD leg is $709. So about $300 more from DFW even though you have 2 less flights. Maybe someday AA will give us DFW guys a break

Never gonna happen Hank Our only hope will be that one day, Southwest buys someone like Spirit with developed routes to LA and offers some competition to these thieving scoundrels. In the meantime, I'll route myself from Love Field to Houston and take CO any day to avoid giving my plata to AA with their aged fleet and avoid MIA as well.
