On the Pops walking tour I was introduced to La Amistad and met Rudy the owner.... On very short notice I booked a room for my last two days here... And I am writing from the nice lounge on the free WiFi at this moment.

Unfortunately the only room free was room 101... Which shares a wall with the kitchen. Nice shower, but ... I woke up to the sounds of (the free) breakfast being made and breaking glasses.... Spanish short orders being yelled, etc....

No big deal, I can rough it... But I spoke with Rudy and asked if there was any other option for my last night in town.... he came back In Five minutes to let me know I have just upgraded me -- at no cost -- to the Penthouse.

So in summary.... I like this place because

1) it's a short walk to SL
2) Eco tourists in lobby and non-pickup bar help me feel a LITTLE less like a mongerer at times... Which is nice as a newbie for grounding (and my female friend from US didn't raise an eyebrow when we met here, etc)
3) CRT discount
4) free WiFi
5) free breakfast made to order
6) Rudy has treated me right

unless rudy hid the body somewhere. oh well he had it comin
