its my only option, i have no bags to check, and if u get there early u can get a good seat , u dont have to pay the seating fee, last trip back, i had front row, big comfy seat , i was out on the street in 5 minutes, still planning on may 20 thurs thru sun..

just paid $202.55 for a round trip fll-sjo in may fri-mon, only bringing a carry on show fare should not increase.

I was just plugging in some dates for FLL-SJO to see about a quick trip at the end of April/beginning of May. They had several dates, even weekends, for $36.50 each way which with taxes and fees ends up at $166.42 which can be reduced to $136.42 by doing the trial magazine subscriptions (and canceling them as soon you receive the confirmation emails). I usually don't check bags on short trips, particularly with airlines that charge extra; and like Ydogi, I try to get there early and talk my way into a good seat (exit row or big front).

man finally someone who agrees with me spirit is like the metro for mongers all you need is a small backpack for your condoms and underwear and you only pay $166 roud trip fro fll to sjo i just booked five tickets for the rest of the year for 166 round trip i like spirit get there early and sit up front no hassle

I have heard all the horror stories about Spirit. I have flown them more times than I can count, and never once have I had a problem. I guess its like everything else its what you make of it. As far as charging for cokes,snacks ,ect. just pack a sandwich and some snacks,buy water and soft drinks inside the concourse. Pack a napsack, get a seat close to the front and dont look back
