I will be in town March 15-19th. I am considering staying at the casillo or the sl. The price for a deluxe room at castillo is the same as a regular room(queen) at sl(courtyard). I am wondering which is a better choice. For the large room (king size bed)at sl is only $30.00 more but is the room much bigger? Very hard to tell by the pictures. 2 months ago I stayed at the dunn inn. It was a very nice hotel, but want to try something else.

I would consider the room at the SL. I love the one stop shopping they have - bar, restaurant, sports, more women coming and going than any place I've seen other then the HDR, and they exchange money. And although if you stay in the courtyard you will get a lot of noise from the bar area, they shut it down completely at midnight and don't reopen until 8AM so it's quiet as a church mouse for those 8 hours.

I concur with K-Pax...mostly. I agree about the one stop shopping at SL as I am a lazy SOB...but the noise in the courtyard? Don't believe it stays quiet until 8a.m....it doesn't.

OK, I'm not experienced with the courtyard rooms, I always stay in the Mansion wing and it's pretty quiet back there unless I'm having a Metallica Jam session with a few chicas late at night.

Thanks for all the advice. I will be staying at the SL in the standard large room. I will bring some ear plugs as I usually dont get up until 1100am.
