ok.. i know this has a lot to do with preferences, and i have read until my eyes are crossed.. But can we get one more run at a discussion over first trip recomendations on hotels. SL is a first option naturally, but i am considering Amistad as well. Is the extra cash really worth it between the 2? I do like to have some quiet time off and on, so i am thinking away from the courtyard, probably in the mansion area.. but the whole reason of this trip is to really let go for a few days so maybe i need something loud? not train loud like Amistad, but i am a sound sleeper and i dont think that would bother me.. I am just really tore between the lower cost of Amistad and the easy access to the ladies at SL..

options?

How easy does it have to be?

The Amistad is a block away from SL. You can spend all of your time at the bar in SL and drag all of the chicas you want back to the Amistad.

If that won't work for you then you should definately opt to stay at SL. :D

Let's not forget the constant buzz kill to have to dip in your pocket everytime you want a drink or food etc..

Staying at the SL affords you the freedom of walking around cash free if you want. Maybe I'm just lazy but I'd rather just charge it to the room. Plus, when the waitress ask me what room I'm in it's always fun to wink and say "Amante"

Everybody has their own style. If you want to be in the middle of a lot of the action, stay at the SL.

If you want a little bit more upscale, mellow, nicer atmosphere, Amistad is your choice. I prefer Amistad, its more of a boutique hotel.

I would like to add just one small thing. If you decide to walk to the down to the Dell Ray at night you should take a cab. Day time your good and for the most part you should be fine at night if your stay out of the park and have your wing man at your side, but for the $2 why risk it. I would hate hear you got rolled by a shemale on your first trip. Have fun

I vastly prefer to stay at the SL, it's one stop shopping - bar, food, entertainment, music, sports and lots of companionship. And the nice thing about the SL is the party stops at midnight when they close up, and it gets quieter than a library in there. So you can get some quality sleep.

SL no question. I usually stay in the Hermosa room because you can make a quick dash there in less than 30 seconds when you find a friend to quench your urge! Plus, with the windows open you can still hear what's going on in the bar.

This whole equation will change dramatically when Brother BKTuna opens up his lounge/sportsbar/live performance area adjacent the Hotel Dunn Inn--it'll be a whole new game. One-stop shopping. Check it out after Labor Day. No, I'm not in his pocket...

I was given a tour of the site 3 weeks ago and while he has the best crew available, it will be at least until Labor Day until Brother BKTuna has the place finished to his satisfaction (my words, not his). There may be a soft opening sooner but it will be THE WOW this fall--no doubt. He has the best architects, the best designers, the best construction crew available working on what will be the premier venue in the Gulch--definitely upping the ante--and all for us.
