Hi all. I do a lot of short notice travel for work. I'll be in SJ next week, and am having a bit of a struggle finding an appropriate lodging fit.

I need a non-smoking room, that is spacious, in a property that isn't going to have chica fees on my bill, and is not going to raise the eyebrows of my customer. The room rate itself isn't the biggest issue, I can expense that. I've tried to get a suite at both Amistad and Dunn, but none are available. I'm concerned that the regular rooms at those properties may be a bit shoeboxy. The Dunn folks told me that a queen room was 2x1.6m! I'm not sure how they even get a bed in a room that size.

The other complicating factor is my schedule. My return flight is on the 8th, but I might be done with work as early as the 4th. Should I book to the 8th and try to get out early, or book to the 4th and try to get my room extended?

Suggestions appreciated, I need to get this booked up ASAP.

They might be already booked, but try Hotel M. They're a CRT sponsor. Ask for Marisol.

If you need a fancy room, ask if #1 is available. Not a suite, just a very large, luxurious room with outdoor terrace, jacuzzi, etc.

Most of our deluxe rooms at the Dunn Inn are much bigger than what they said. Please contact em if you wish a quote. We are also a good fit for your need for discretion.

2 X 1.6 M = ~6+' X ~4.5+'. The bathroom is bigger than that. I'd say about 15' X 12' excluding bath and entrance area. Now if you are asking should you leave early? The unanimous response from this board would be absolutely not. So, wherever you stay, do it until the 8th. La Amistad queen rooms are also nice. I saw the Junior deluxe room (I think thats what it was called) at the Clarion, across from Dunn Inn, bed area with living room, nice rooms. More expensive (I don't have the cost) but since you are VIP, contact that Nixon guy.

Drinks on the company tab! :P
