Post subject:  From Samara to Arenal
I am looking for a good way to get an 80-year-old healthy married couple from Samara to Arenal on March 9. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The best (and most economical and very safe) option is Interbus. There's a bus that leaves at 9am and gets there at 2:30pm. Cost $39/person each way. Travel time: 5.5 hrs. Door to door service.

Flying isn't an option because they'd have to taxi to Tamarindo and the Nature Air flight from Tamarindo to Arenal goes thru San Jose, and takes 5 hours with the layover in SJ. And it's $170/person one-way. :shock:

Thanks for the help. For some reason I didn't think Interbus served the Nicoya Peninsula.
