I'm thinking about staying at the LA in January for the 1st time & thought I'd try a Penthouse. Only 1 available for my dates is # 203. Any of you guys stayed in it or gotten a good look at it? Supposed to be smaller than the others, is it basically the size of a standard room? Has it got a jacuzzi, sauna, sitting area etc. & is it split-level & train-friendly?

I just spent 5 days there. Smallest PH, sitting area is two chairs next to one wall, king sized bed, regular TV, 2 person (3 if you're friendly) jacuzzi (left hand side jets do not work), dry sauna (killer), not split level.

I'll have more comments about the room in my TR. It has some issues but I wouldn't mind staying there again if 202 is taken.

I didn't have any major distractions from the train or the computer area. The A/C however is another story....

Oh... the room has no exterior view and the only window is to the interior rear staircase, so very little natural light.

oh yeah forgot those chairs were there. cause they were full with suitcase and other stuff. not a lot of room for your stuff but a comfortable room.

they still haven't fixed the a/c? :(

I tryed 203 and hated it, the room is dark even in the middle of the day.

MH, when I stayed there the a/c sounded like there was an electrical short that woke me up all night.

Thanks for the comments guys. Not having an outside window is a deal-killer for me, a room just seems too gloomy w/o natural light.

I like to treat myself to a high-end room now & then (ahh!, memories of sitting in the jacuzzi with a chica on the balcony of room # 801 @ the Presidente come to mind) but if I pay the big price, I expect big performance. For the price the LA gets for those rooms it sounds like there are maintenance issues. Problems with the a/c, problems with the jacuzzi, noise problems, I expect more when asked to pay $119 or $139 minus crt discount a night.
