I am planning a trip for early January, I found a rt flight on Delta for 746.00 all in. The only draw back is a 10 hr layover in Bogota. Is there any hotels near the airport there to sleep away the layover? All the other flights were 300.00 or more extra.

just a thought, if possible can you move back leave time till after jan 13/15? if so I have noticed a drop in prices leaving from MSP big time, if not, try holding out to 30 days from leave time out to look and buy could save a lot. My experience from MSP, real deals at 120 days out, then prices stay high until about 30 days out. Best to set up some sort of travel site warning on fares. Using that I got MSP-MDE for 500 back at the 120 day out on a Jan 15 flight , now over $700-$900 on any decent flight layover connections times.
try this web site to play games with dates they do not sell tickets but gives you a good idea fast

using this web site from (MSP) Dec 15 to about jan 15th due to holidays fare go way up. Of course your airport may result in different results,

Also try jumping to a FL airport early in the day and you may be able to do it cheaper with out the lay over, that’s why this site works so good, so many airlines with so many flights you can really play a lot of games on flights

good luck 85 days to go for me and I off to MDE/MM 1521 days until its perment vacation for me at MDE/MM

Good hotels near BOG El Dorado super expensive but can taxi into say el norte 25 min. if traffic not too bad and hotels there more reasonable however I just checked hotels today BOG and too damn pricey. Sure you could find other places cheaper but if you are not too familiar with BOG like I am kinda tough. I've stayed at Suites Real 97 twice but after the lasy stay swear I won't go with them again. They were kinda rude to me so eff em.

Have you tryed flights thru MIA or FLL? Maybe less connnect time.
