Post subject:  EMBRAER 190

I have been flying Lacsa/Taca for many years. I started with Lacsa when thier only equipment was 727,s. For about the last 10 years or so they seem to have been using A-320,s and A-319,s. I found them to be a very comfortable ride and was very confident flying them. I just made reservations for a trip I have to make to miami next month and they show the equipment as a Embraer 190. Has anyone had any experience with these planes ? Just curious.

Yes. US Airways flys them a lot for short/medium flights.

They're comfortable - 2 seats on both sides of the aisle, so no middle seat.

It's coo'. Go with the flow. No problems with a very good ariplane.

I've flown Copa and Aerorepublica's 190s on several occasions. They are among my favorite planes. They have a 2-2 configuration and the seats are wider than regular coach airline seats. They are quiet and comfortable. I do not like the Embraer 145 and feel claustrophobic inside them.

Brazilian built. I have worked with some of the Embrarer engineers when they needed some aero development assistance from an experienced American company. Got to learn a little Porugese, we would have them give us a word of the day every day. Good guys to work with.

The 190 is quickly becomming a very popular regional jet. I like the size. Like mentioned, 4 across instead of the usual cattle car 6 across.

Have flown TACA's Embraer 190 as well as their 319, 320 & 321. 190 is great. 2 x2 instead of 3 x 3 seating is about the only difference you will note as the flight is very comfortable with the usual good TACA service. Is a bit unusual with the jog the aisle takes between executive class and peon class.

As an Embraer stockholder, I am happy everyone is enjoying their flights. Please become obscenely wealthy and buy one (or two).
Pilots like them, customers like them, and they are the premier 100+ seat jet Don't forget to tell your airlines that Fokker and Bombardier suck.

I have flown this plane several times (Jetblue -orlando -San Jose). It's a great plane 2x2 seating.

I flew round trip from Orlando to SJO on one last week.
There are only 2 seats on each side of the aisle, but it has that big (727-737-757) feel to it. Definitely not crowded.
Jet Blue had great seat pitch, probably 34"-35".
No mid cabin lavs.
The galley prepared the Doritos chips perfectly.

Check out http://www.seatguru.com/.

It shows which planes are used by each airline and shows you the best and worst seat.

A great jet, very roomy, leather seats and TV's in front of each seat depending on the airline. Even with a lot of people does not feel like a sardine can. Good head and leg room. And yeah, if I had the dough, I'd love to buy one

Thanks for the info. Was studying flights on Aerorepublica BOG-CUC and they fly this plane. Looked like a winner anyway but all these positive posts make me want to try it out.

Jet blue uses these planes often. Very roomy and comfortable plane with very few bad seats.
