I can't say enough good things about this place. It has to be the BEST value in all of San Jose.

Bill runs a tight ship and is very accommodating. There is no wonder this place is so popular.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned - but it appears that the bar is expanding into the courtyard to accommodate more people. From what I heard, its a very positive change.

Also, with the huge influx of girls, it looks like the SL is going to start tightening the number of girls allowed in to keep out the troublemakers and riff-raff.

While this should make for less drama and problems and for a more positive experience, this could also push up some of the prices. I'll give my $0.02 on that issue on a more appropriate thread.

However, the way I heard all these changes, they are ALL going to improve this already excellent establishment.

Brother Mysnoatb presents a genuine "on the one hand/ on the other hand" problem. However his scenario is culling out from a much-larger herd rather than thinning a present-level herd. That plus some awareness of economics by the Chicas and certainly by us should mean better quality at about the same price. Of course when I get that smell in my nose and that fever in my blood, classic economic theory rapidly exits the room so WTF do I know?

Will the expansion of the bar to the courtyard rooms make the rooms there unbearably noisy? Or are they already noisy? If so, I may need to change my reservation. Thanks for your input.

If you are the kind of guy who likes to go to sleep before midnight an/or sleep past 8:00am, you probably won't want a courtyard room.

If you are the kind of guy who likes to slip into the room with a girl, unnoticed, you probably don't want a courtyard room.

If you party-hearty, sleep like a log and like to be close to the action, the courtyard is your cup of tea!

take ear plugs, stopped at walmart-gun shop and get a package of foam plugs (3 bucks a box), take the whole box with you, they fall out, then practice how to use them to sleep, differant then wearing them to for shooting, becuase of a relaxed jaw during sleep vs shooting. I found best to cut off the top half of the plug, roll tight and then stuff in the ear fast.
That I say in min. other wise get set of sound deading ear phone type hearing protector, Boise type and learn to sleep with them. but on the good side jsut opne the door and point the index finger at a target, curl index finger and then with out leaving the room you will be to busy to notice the noise :D
But the noise does start early, when they start setting up for Breakfest. so have somthing.

I stayed in Esperanza for a week one time (two steps from the bar). I had a great time and could literally get food, drink and chicas without ever putting my pants on. Kinda like a trap-door spider! :lol:
