Anybody ever successfully book this route and make the connecton.
JetBlue has booked me with a 25 minute connection in Orlando.

Am I foolish to even try it?

If you are talking about JFK-MCO-SJO, the connection time is more than 25min should be around 50min. A co-worker of mine made the connection with no problems when he flew Jetblue.

Have you flown on JB before? I found their attendants to be the dumbest people I have ever met. They didn't know the difference betwee EDT and CDT. They were also bitter, sarcastic, then they would brag about how low cost they are, and charge you out of their butt for everything you bought on the flight. I try to avoid these guys.

Just hope there is no delay and every thing runs smooth. You might not get your bags when you reach Costa Rica; but you will be there. I would pack a bag with a few thing I might need and take on the plane with me just in case bags did not make it on the flight.

Mike, I think you should try booking directly on the jetblue site. I got mine for 235, all inclusive. $79 each way, and I've still spotted a few of those prices recently.

I have flown Jet Blue in Feb 2009 JFK to Puerto Plata DR and found the service and spacious seats excellent. I double checked the connection time, from JFK 6:30 AM to Orlando 9:20 & 9:45 departing Orlando to SJO
12:10 arrival.

I booked one way ticket for 175.29 taxes in for Nov 13.

One-way? You plan on staying permanently? Not that I've ever been asked, but one of the immigration "requirements" is to have a return ticket out of Costa Rica. I wouldn't worry about that since I have never been or heard of anybody being asked to see their return ticket in over 30 trips.

Orange makes a very valid point
I have never been asked but always had a return ticket
Sure the airline will sell it , but you may get to the airport and not be alowed to board??? I do not know
So why on a one way ticket are you trying to shave time???
Book on an airline that has options if you are delayed

Central America to my knowledge does not observe Day light savings time.

So if your flying from MCO - SJO on JetBLue. During our summer there's a 2hr time change. EDT to CST.

During our winter it would be a 1hr changed from EST to CST.

Yes the JB folks should know this!

I have flown Jetblue 5 times since it has come to MCO and it has always left on time. I hope you don't have any delays in NY. It may have been around $200 that has to be before taxes never seen it that low.

I just searched their site and for late october it is 99 bucks each way on some days. With taxes and fees you are looking at about 240 all up. This is the price I have paid each of the three times I have taken this new route for jet blue. It leaves on time, is very comfortable, lots of space and just a very mellow and quick trip. Maybe my favorite US airline at the moment.
