So I haven't been to San Jose since 2005, when the Pres was still king. Apparently, they've jacked up the prices and started critiquing dance partners. Which is a shame. So where do I go? I'm not a Del Rey guy, and the Sportsmen's Lodge... which I only visited once... seemed a little off to me. So what are my options? Decent hotel, preferably with wireless internet? August 21-24?

SL is def the place to go. But for those dates, you'll never get in. You may not even get in La Amistad...

Suggestions? Who has in-room internet, and who does not?

Sometimes Hotel M has last minute rooms, all are wi-fi.

La Amistad has in room internet via wireless OR ETHERNET CABLE and it is a "fat pipe"....meaning it is a high speed connection (at least for CR). It typically is over 1.5meg down......

The hotel has been refurbished; has a new bar and restaurant which I am advised is most excellent. The hotel is muy tranquilo; goes out of it's way to be helpful; is a 3min walk to the Sportsman's Lodge; has a solid choice from a standard room to suites and is very well run.

Don't be hogging the internet, however, when I'm there. I need it for my Slingbox and trading.....jejejeejejjeje
