Similar kind of BS IAH-MEX is double MIA-MEX even though Houston much closer. I'm going to write the President of Spirit Air soon about opening up another hub out of IAH for Latin American travel. Think they could make a killing since CAL has such a monopoly. Maybe you could write about PHL also to Spirit? |

You can also fly Spirit out of ACY. They're sometimes cheaper than EWR. |

There was a plan to run a train from NYC to Atlantic City. If that's realized, that might be the way to go to ACY. Or of course drive down. Spirit has at least 1 flight from ACY to SJO every day (1:45 hour change-of-plane layover in FLL)--it leaves at 7:15 every morning. I totally agree that PHL sucks. |

I agree with Brother Mr.Black about the so-called "Gambler's Express" from Philly to AC--but you have to drive into Philly and pay dearly for parking. A solution but to my mind, a kludge. A better solution is picking up the Atlantic City Line in Cherry hill or Lindenwold N. J. (as easy to get to and this way NJ gets the sales tax revenue). Or taking the Express from NYC--it started in Feb. '09 and runs non-stop from NYC Penn Station. For more on this, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_City_Line Be aware that either way, it's a bit of a trek to ACY--it's not on the island but about 10 miles Northwest, sharing space with the FAA's Technical Center |

Try booking the continental ticket out of ZFV (30th street station). Sometimes, believe it or not, its the same price as flying out of EWR and you get better times. |
