I realize that not everyone is an expert in photo composition, but I think if you were trying to sell your hotel as a somewhat classy operation, on your reservations page, you'd be sure to take a photo that doesn't include a mop. https://www.hotellittlehavana.com/reservations.php

A lot of people have been bitching about the conditions of MP,s Now you bring this up 
Isn't there a mop in ads running now? They must have brought in Maddison Ave for the web site 
That poor mop the stories it could tell

Actually, I don't mind seeing that. It tells me that the place is clean, unlike some other MP's.

Not trying to say Brother Orange is mistaken but given the dryness and placement of that mop, I'd say cleanliness is a distinctly secondary reason that mop is there. The real reason is to mop up spills on the floor and the residue of wet shoes on that marble-looking staircase. I'd also like to see a 2nd bannister on the left side of the picture. Don't know if that staircase has safety treads but doubt it. This from a professional janitor and full-on safety nazi. |

Jazz, I was joking (should've used more emoticons, my bad). Anyway, I agree there should be a another bannister, preferably in the middle since it's a wide stair. A drunk gringo or chica in heels falling down the stairs probably wouldn't be good. |

That "marble-looking" staircase is bare or rough-finished concrete.
And the mop is used on the bar's floor, probably should be kept behind the bar itself but I guess the stairs are more convenient.
