Just wanted to give a quick heads up and review of the Hotel Freebird based on my recent visit. My stay there was for nine nights, June 18-27. I had a very good experience and can recommend it to others. I'll be staying there on my next trip to CR.

My ground floor room was a deluxe queen that I paid ~$35 per night for, tax included. Very clean and it had pretty much everything I could think of needing: fridge w/freezer, firm pillow top queen bed, flat screen CRT TV, wifi, etc. First floor had two easily accessible Euro Style baths (nice with lots of room), microwave, coffee pot, sit down desktop computer with internet, washer/dryer, good sized safe with combination lock. I was curious how things would work out with the Queens and external bathrooms. Turns out it was no problem at all. The chicas seemed to like the Hotel a lot, and the separate, more spacious bathroom was an advantage. I saw both the suites and the deluxe queen that I stayed in and both were very intelligently designed for mongering. Security was also tight, so I never had to worry about anyone running off with anything of value. Chicas couldn't get out without me letting them out (good hotel planning).

Travel-wise it was nice being 5 minutes away from Relax, Idem, and a good number of other MP's. Del Rey was also about a 5-7 minute walk for me. Sportsman's, maybe shy of 15 mintues. Calle 11 is pretty safe to walk in the evenings and I personally never required a taxi to get anywhere.

As a newbie, I gained a wealth of information from Dennis, owner of the Freebird. He knows a ton and went way out of his way to provide quality, accurate info and to make sure his guests had a great time. If I was looking for something in particular, CR provides a ton of variety and I could get the intel on where to find what type of girl I might want on a given day (with estimates on prices). One of the coolest things is that I wouldn't have to leave the room to get extremely hot ticas to come over whenever, unless I just really wanted to get out. I did go out and explore a lot, but could have been as busy and exhausted as I wanted to be just staying right there in the Hotel.

Overall, fun experience and will repeat.
