Does anyone know where I can find an ACCURATE seating chart for the planes TACA flies?

Seat Guru is an excellent site, but TACA is not one of the airlines covered there. I know from my ticket reservation that TACA uses Airbus 320 and 321 jets, but there are two versions of the 320 with somewhat different seating configurations.

Is the best thing to do to try and get through on the phone and determine which version of the jet is being used for a particular flight?

I ask this in an attempt to select the best seating possible. Many thanks.

TACA also flies A319's and Embraer 190's. I have used the US Air layout on seat guru and it seems to match TACA pretty well.

Tiki,
I just did a search on my old posts for this and you asked this same question 2 years ago (Apr 2007).

Here's the info on Taca's 320 which I have flown many times.

320
First Class: Rows 1-3 (12 seats)
Economy: Rows 4-26 (138 seats)
(Exit rows 9-10)

320 seatmap: http://frequentflyer.oag.com/airlines_a ... /aj320.gif
(Taca uses this config except that the first row of economy is numbered 4, not 6... so exits are 9-10)

I believe it tells you what type of plane is used when you select the flights on their website.

Not sure how accurate TACA information is. When I was leaving Panama I went to the TACA office the day before to select my seat. I asked the guy what model airplane they were using. He told me an A320 so I selected accordingly. The flight was actually an A321 which I would have selected a different seat.

They do change last minute if the plane doesn't fill up (or maybe mechanical replacement), but they stay with the original plan 95-99% of the time IN MY EXPERIENCE. Out of about 75 flights that I've taken with them, they switched the plane on me only ONE time. It was supposed to be a 320, but they put us on a 319 as it was an almost empty flight.

Hey, I have trouble remembering two weeks ago, much less two years, but I do appreciate the information.

Yes, I should've done a search first.

They've changed planes on me before when I used to fly them - when they had dirt cheap fares every once in a while.

But their FF program is worthless, and while I almost had enough miles for a reward ticket once, they expired very quickly, and I am happier flying CO.
