IMHO worth every penny. Ive done the buy the cheapest ticket regardless of who it is route, and Ive gone the loyalty route. While I typically pay a bit more for a plane ticket, the mileage flights, the upgrades from economy to business, the priority baggage handling and boarding, and the lounge access all make it well worth it to me. Traveling to Asia half a dozen times a year, I cant imagine not having lounge access, having to wait for 300 peoples bags to unload, fighting for a spot in line just so I can ensure I have overhead baggage space. Hell, it would even be nuts not to be upgraded a couple times on a RT fare. |
