There are several towns of that name. Main one is de El General, about an hour or so uphill from Playa Dominical. My main squeeze was from there so I spent alot of week ends there 7-8 years ago. Nice town, no action, only one "place" that I remember, really a dump, not worth it.

Maybe things are diff now, but it was pretty quiet and straight laced/Catholic back then.

Beautful women if you can hit on a local. It was amazing to me how many of them had a distinctive and very similar look, facially, different than and as opposed to the rest of CR 's pretty ticas.

Take a ride to Dominical--going downhill on that road is one of the best in terms of views in all of CR.

I was in San Isidro del General less than 2 weeks ago. The women are still beautiful...my six wingmen couldn't believe it.
In 2007, I spent several weeks living in San Isidro to try it out as a possible place for retirement. I loved it, but then I discovered Colombia. CR and San Isidro are no longer on the retirement short list.
There is one p4p venue just north of town on the Interamerican Hwy. The place is called Bar El Mexicano. There are several places throughout the small city where you can meet regular women. La Cascada in the center of town is very popular on the weekends, and Bar Bahia in the bus station/mercado is frequented by mujeres who are looking for a date.

Even BB57 would never session at that joint. P4P is not on the menu in San Isidro. The women are different there, seems a lot of German traits, some blond haired blue eyed chicas. It is a very clean Catholic town. Agree the ride to Dominical is not to be missed.

Most of the women I've seen in San Isidro are raven-haired, sun-kissed beauties. They look very hispanic with a little bit of indigeno thrown in. There were a few blue-eyed blondes as well. Your right about p4p, it is frowned upon in San Isidro. I visited Bar El Mexicano only once. My wingman counted only 4 non-tica girls in the joint.

Whoever said there is a place like the Del Rey in San Isidro was pulling your leg, Trav.

Second that about the German strain, my chica's name was Ingrid, her sister's were Heidi and Gerta, all blondes, though brown eyed.

Another town where you see alot of them that look alike is Parrita between Jaco and Quepos--some real knock outs!

No way, bro. I never saw a P4P place. I did score a local hottie. They are all non pro. But, man, did I have to work for it. She invited me the next day to watch a soccer match at her family's home but I was leaving to Dominical. I had a very hard time talking to chicas in the daytime. But at night in the bars it was easier. They all seem to have light skin, light hair and light eyes. I wish I could spend more time there you definately need time to lay the groundwork. I agree about the Catholic influence. Know your Spanish there, no one speaks English.

The road to Dominical by way of Palma Sur is probably the most scenic in the country. I even saw indian villages of indiginous bathing in a river.

PURA VIDA!

This has been talked about in previous threads about San Isidro. There is an overwhelming ratio of women to men in this little city. Most of the male population emigrated to other locations in CR and throughout North America. I was in a bar one afternoon, and met at least 5 guys from SI who had lived in NJ at some point in their life.
