Senordos, Thanks for the welcome. This will be my 4th trip to SJO but first in 2 years. I'm looking forward big time. My apologies, I just checked and the Corobici is 25000 points right now and even for the days that I booked. On March 21 I booked May 8-12 for 5000 points a night and at the time I thought maybe the place might be a cock-roached infested dump. 5000 points is the lowest I've ever see a Holiday Inn property for a reward stay. They advertise a free hotel transfer but I"m not sure if I get a free breakfast though. Sometimes on reward stays you don't get it. I'll just play stupid and insist it's included in the room and that can work too. Gracias, El Gordo |

Well 5,000 is the lowest they offer, but it has nothing to do with how nice the hotel is. They offer the Point Break 5,000 promotion on all categories that the Intercontinental Hotel Group offers. True most of them are usually Holiday Inns, or Holiday Inn Expresses, but they do often have a mix of Crowne Plazas and the top end Intercontinenal's available (San Jose's Intercontinental was available a couple of years ago). You should get the breakfast. At least in Prague we were treated as if we had paid full price. Good Luck. |

I just read #3 under the terms of Reward Nights: Quote: 3. Reward Night rooms do not include food and beverages, gratuities or incidentals. These charges are to be paid directly to the hotel prior to check-out. Transportation costs to and from the hotel are not included.
However if the breakfast and shuttle are free their is no additional cost. Let us know either way. |

I've stayed twice at the Aurola (for 10000 points) and they didn't include the breakast. I never thought to check to see if they have free transfer from the airport. In Thailand all of the Marriott's included free breakfasts but Hyatt and Hiltons didn't. It's not the end of the world but it's nice to squeen as much free stuff as possible.
