Ive tried calling certain hotels and it doesnt work but other hotels i get throught to. It seems like some # only have 10 digits while others have 11. The ones with 11 i get through to but not with ten. I know this sounds crazy but for example europa 506-222-1222 cant......castillo 506-####-#### i can. Please what am i doing wrong or am missing?

There is an 8 digit phone number sytstem in CR (506) xxxx-xxxx

I assume you are dialing 011-506 prior to the 8 digit number...

Land lines have a (2) (in San Jose) in front of the 7 digit number in your Europa example would be 506-2222-1222

The CR regulars can confirm this, but I read in a different thread something about the phone numbers are now all 8 digits, with 8 being the first number.

Try 506 8222-1222 for the Europa.

HTH,

Edited to add: Never mind, ES knows a lot more about this than I do.

In San Jose... Land Lines add a 2 in front of the 7 digit number. CELL Phones add an 8 in front of the 7 digit number
