The CDW is huge....and the liability insurance is $12.00@day....with a $2000 deduct. Still, the weekly rate is a lot lower than it had been. When called, they claim it's a "special". *shrug*

Merits calling and rechecking your rates if you've already made a reservation; and merits calling if you're in the market for one.....up to you!

I still firmly believe that 4x4 car rental is the best deal in CR for a car...

I rent 4X4's in CR, but by the time I pay for all taxes, and all insurance, it seems to work out to about $70 per day or so. But, that gives me total access to a great country and if cheaper overall than paying for day trips.
