Be sure to check out the CRT VIP discounts page. Admin1 has recruited 3 "linked" hotels--La Catalina (perfect for those needing a close-in but business-oriented property), Arenal Lodge and Copacabana in Jaco. Your own research will tell you how Chica friendly they are, but if they offer the discount, how can they be Chica-hostile? As has been said by others here, eco-tourism is much more economy-dependent than our travel and hotels need to keep their occupancy rates up so we can expect more discounted properties to be available (my logic anyway).

Copa has always had the reputation here of being situational with their discounts, depending who is at the front desk...

Thats a leap of faith. How do these 3 hotels all with the same ownership and located out of the gulch have any effect on the policies of the Presidente?

Perhaps on the Tabacon resort, owned by the same folks as the Presidente, but even that is a million to one shot.

I did not know that Tabacon and Presidente were owned by the same people... wish I didn't know...

Love Tabacon, Hate Presidente.
