Can anyone tell me anything about Claritas beach hotel up at the north end of Jaco?
I'm thinking about booking a week there, mostly 'cause the website makes it look laid back and comfortable.
Are there working chicas at the bar?
Is it anything like SL in SJO?

Any info would be appreciated.

Claritas is very basic , there are no chicas in the bar. Jaco is dead during the day, when I stayed at the Copacabana there were a few chicas around the pool during the day.

Not that it was ever good, but the day has gotten worse... Nothing but hags out before dark.... I stop into El Bohio quite a bit for beers in the afternoon and the chicas there are hideous...... Claritas doesn't have girls working but is a cool place to chill out.

Brother Mongeral--If you're booking Clarits's 'cuz it's laid back and comfortable, those are the reasons to book it. Beach volley ball court and horseshoe pit in front of the bar on the beach, a salty old Gringo or 2, a Gringa or 2, some TV's for sports--that's what you'll find. Check-in is at the bar and it's down a dark road so take a cab back after dark especially with Chica in tow. Have a blast. But, no, it's nothing like SL--no Chicas hang there and few monger buddies to breeze with.
