You younger or more adventurous Brothers might want to try this. NOTE: it's kinda pricey.
The Recreo Resort in Guanacaste is offering 7-night kite surfing vacations (including lessons for 5 days with equipment supplied, meals and maid service) at a villa in Guanacaste for the discounted price of $6000. Up to 4 people on selected dates in late February and, natch, BYOC.
Don't expect there will be many takers here but if interested see:

$6000 are you kidding me :!: screw that, save a few grand by going to Playa Cabarete in the Dom. Rep. instead, much better plus chicas available for nightime sports. http://www.activecabarete.com/

with Paco!

The Recreo Resort in Guanacaste is a huge rip off. I live full time in Guanacaste and it is notorious for the gringo rip off. Example A: the 7 day kite surfing package for "only $6,000."

This was posted as a semi-joke and to provoke the enlightened alternatives it did, like Brother PacoLoco's.

Then why not ask for alternatives. I respect your "experience" and "length of service" as a CRT member but your post looks like an advertisement for a service I know as a rip off. My enlightened alternative was to call out Recreo for what they are.

I have watched gringos come to the area and get rip off by therse people for several years and thought it was best to chime in to that effect. If you do not like my contribution I am sorry.

I'm pretty sure that's $1500/person for the whole week and all inclusive.
