Post subject: | A Great Time at HLH |
For my first visit to CR, I decided to stay at HLH. From some of the recommendations on this site, the HLH seemed like it would meet my needs...And I was not disappointed. I arrived on Christmas Morning...Met Eddie, and went out to lunch with him. Eddie was very helpful and drove me around town to show me where some of the good places to go were located. I stayed in the Cohiba suite...Large one room suite on the top floor. The suite has a private access with stairs that lead to a large balcony that looks out onto the calle below. Had a few night-time sessions up on the balcony...I didn't take any photos, but I did notice a couple of flashes going off from someone across the way at the hostel who was taking a few action shots...kinda funny. The suite has a large bathroom with a walk-in shower that can accomodate muchas personas...We had four of us in the shower together, and there was plenty of room for others. There is also a large sauna in the bathroom. The bed is king-size...Careful though...The supports under the bed have a tendency to break with too much activity...Poor Pedro had to come upstairs to fix it two times. Should be OK now... One downside to staying in this suite...Late at night...for some reason, the room was very noisy. Car sounds from the street seemed to echo throughout the room...And when it rained, the sound of the rain hitting the corregated metal roof was really loud. Bought a pair of ear plugs at the farmacia...That solved the problem. I'm not sure if the other suites have the same noise issues. Maybe being one level down in the other suites would be a bit quieter... The hotel has a bar...cool bartenders...but no restaurant...yet. Eddie has plans to add a restaurant in the next year. Hint: Because there is no restaurant, the girls usually have to fend for themselves for food. I bought a couple of pizzas one night for the girls(yes Dominoes does exist everywhere)...Let's just say that the rewards for that simple effort, were worth much more than the cost of the pizzas. A little kindness goes a long way with these women. Ahh yes...The women of HLH...Probably the highlight of my stay. If you are staying in a suite, the HLH girls are $25/hr. ($60 if you are not in one of their suites.) While you can definitely find more attractive women at some other venues, the girls that I met ay HLH had good attitudes and were always fun to be with. At such a reasonable price, it was easy to choose more than one girl or extend a session for two (or even three ) hours. Overall, I really enjoyed staying at the HLH...The staff is friendly and helpful...and the girls add an extra element of fun to staying there. cheers, -sport [/b] |

67, I stayed in the Cohiba suite for a few days last February. Yeah, there is noise from the traffic and rain. Later I stayed overnight in the Bolivar suite, it has no windows and so was very quiet, as well as very dark when you turn the lights off; the lighted display on the clock radio made for a very good nightlight. The Montecristo suite would be the same as it doesn't have windows either. |
