I had the pleasure of staying at the Dunn Inn 1/14-18. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds, mini bar and cable TV. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also Tica friendly.
It does not have a run of girls going in & out, however I liked that for a break. The SL and DR are both a short walk during the day.

Thanks to all the Staff at the Dunn Inn!

I think MH1 made a typo and meant "PICK" not "PIC", as in choice not picture.

I haven't had the pleasure of staying there as of yet, but I have dined there alot over the past several years. The restaurant has a beautiful tropical theme and the food was very good. Do the rooms have A/C? And being Chica friendly is there a charge for the girls?

Don't know about the A/C 'cuz I didn't need it but pre-Sponsor the Chica fee was a weird amount--$11.30. $10 + 13% tax?

Another reason to be a CRT VIP Brother--a nice smaller venue close to but somewhat away from Calle Puta AND the Pink Palace. Wonder what it took to sign them up?

Post subject:  Yes they have AC at Dunn Inn

I stayed in a standard room and it was clean and had AC which I used.

I would guess a significant drop in eco tourists should do the trick.Would not be suprised if the Presidente decides to make up with CRT after a very dismal 2009.

I never really paid much attention to the place when I'd walk by it. But the photos on their website are pretty nice looking.

I had the pleasure of staying four nights at Hotel Dunn Inn over Super Bowl weekend and I was quite impressed by almost every aspect of the facility.

The staff could have not been more friendly and helpful. The made me feel as if they were truly glad to have me as a guest. The standard room is a bit small and there is only a shower and no tub. However, the room had a very comfortable feel to it and I was very relaxed there. I believe that every room is equipped with AC, as mine was. In room amenities included a safe, reliable wireless internet access, small refrigerator/mini bar, table and chairs and comfortable double bed. Due to the "U" shape of the building and my room overlooking the courtyard roof, the street noise was minimal and I slept soundly even with my window open on this somewhat noisy intersection.

The restaurant/bar is built within what used to be the courtyard of this large converted creole style house and while it has been covered, it is still an open air space with extensive plantings of palms, ferns and vines. The food was excellent. One entree I tried was the Lomito in a red wine pepper sauce which may be the best meal I have had throughout my eleven trips to SJO. The bar staff was very friendly and yes, Nhhank, Tatiana with the corn rolls is still there.

Frankly, I have nothing bad to say about my stay there and will certainly return. While I am aware that this glowing review will be taken with a grain of salt from someone with as few posts as myself, I will say that I am surprised that more of the veterans on the board are not familiar with this very nice boutique hotel.
