Fellow Mongers. Last visit I stayed at La Amistad and was happy with the accomodations, excepitng I had to move three times for a five day visit. Can anyone advise their opinion on the Dunn Inn for rooms and the restaurant food. This seems to be a little more central location.

Great place; quiet, centrally located, clean, friendly staff, ZERO "guest fees" [providing you're a CRT/ VIP], very nice restaurant and bar, secure, smoking is prohibited throughout the hotel with exception to the bar.

Lastly, if you appreciate a place where you can "blend in" then this is for you. A nice combination of "locals" [business professionals], tourists [non p4p].

I refuse to stay elsewhere when in San Jose.

Have a great trip wherever you stay.

Myrtlegolf,

Its a great spot. Centrally located, friendly staff, great bar/restaurant with good Happy Hour prices. I have stayed there on 5 different occasions and was great everytime. They has a real nice driver, Rigo, who can get you to and from the airport at any hour as well or a longer trip to Arenal or Jaco...

Thanks for the helpful information. I decided to book at the SL since I
will be spening a lot of time there. If my booking does not go through I will book Hotel Dunn Inn. I just felt as long as I was going to be there shopping  on a regular basis might as well shorten the walk.
