Recommendations for hotels please, I need a two bedroom waterfront suite, leaning towards Tamarindo unless someone has a better idea. taking a girl with so that's not a big concern, actually prefer touristy area, relaxing with natural type of activities to do. Safe area a plus. Thanks |

Playa Grande is just North of Tamarindo. It's much more relaxing and safer. They have a few small waterfront hotels, but not sure if the suites are two bedroom. If that is something you really needed you could rent a two bedroom beachfront house in the area. For natural type activities: surfing, fishing, sailing, diving, horseback riding, boat tour of Tamarindo estuary or kayak, leather back turtle egg laying tour, canopy tour, Rincon de la Vieja park, etc. |

Check out Flamingo Beach Hotel, just North of Brasilito (about 25 minutes North of Tamarindo). I think it might be exactly what you're looking for - www.resortflamingobeach.com I've taken numerous CRT members there, and they all liked it. Matter of fact, just got back last night from there. Spent the weekend a la playa with CRT members Phoenix Rising, Ptstraining and HOU (along with a few chicas). If you want, send them a PM for their opinion. Plus, some other members might see this thread and comment. If you decide to stay there, let me know before you make your reservations. Because of my business interests, I can get you a discount on your stay. If interested, send me a PM, and I'll help you out. Whatever you decide, have a great trip! MG ![]() |

MG ![]() Hotel looks good but kinda pricey, Didn't see and two room suites either. I may have to stick with Jaco where I can get a two room, suite off season for less than $150 I'll keep looking. How big is your discount MG? |

Quepos-Manuel Antonio would be my choice--one of the nicest beaches in the world. Only two hotels right on the beach, Karahe and Verde Mar, both have websites, 3 star, Verde Mar has kitchens not sure if either has 2 bedrooms. 4 and 5 star hotels up on the hill about a mile or so from the beach. If the beach is a big part of your plan, you are not going to be happy with Jaco, although if you have a car there are a couple that are nice fairly close. Thanks Thanks I did Jaco and it is my last choice, A friend who travels with me and knows me well thinks Manuel Antonio is great but I have Emphysema and he thinks the hills would kill me. I like to be right on the beach. I know not asking much. ![]() |

Sorry if this is a dead horse. I'm still having trouble finding the perfect spot, I prefer not a lot of partying, non drinkers. Don't need chicas as I will have a civilian and a pro with me. Not into weed. Laid back atmosphere would be cool. The trouble appears to be a two bedroom suite at a decent cost. looked over all your recommendations and am busy searching on line now. anymore personal experiences or even second hand info from trusted friends would be great. Thanks |
