TACA is as good as they come under normal conditions. But when something is just outside of the norm, lookout! They have no idea how to resolve a situation.

Ughhhh...but this isnt exclusive to TACA! I spent 8 hours flying around SJO waiting for fog to lift on AA a couple of months ago. Talk about irritating. We never did land in SJO....they took us back to Miami !!!!!!

I will never understand the sitting on the tarmac for hours and hours though. That is what got JetBlue in trouble what was it a year or 2 ago? When they had a plane sit on the tarmac at JFK for over 12 hours! That is when they wrote their customer's bill of rights crap.

Yea there is no way we took off from MIA at 8pm and landed back in MIA at 6am!! It was a long and boring story that included a brief landing in Panama for fuel. But that was only 50 mins on the ground. Trust me...I wish I made that little story up!!

Worst part? I had to fly home Sunday!!

The sh*t we do for p*ssy!!

On my way back last year I was suppose to fly through Houston to San Francisco. Sat in SJO for 6 hours. Ended up in Miami because the pilot had too many hours???? Next we spent 5 hrs on the Miami tarmac and then flew to Houston where I missed my connecting flight. Stayed the night there and then my morning flight to SFO was delayed 3 hrs as we sat on the plane while they were working on it. Nothing scarier then taking the test flight after the plane was worked on for 3 hours. Took me almost 48 hours to get home. Good ole American Airlines... I haven't flown them since.

Sounds shady on the airport's part, like they did not want to deal with an unplanned international arrival. They are prepared though, Continental has service to Costa Rica originating in Ontario among other intl flights there.

Still weak from the airline's side as well. How do you not find a way to get them off the plane in all that time? The Ontario Airport is also less than an hour's drive from LAX. Absurd!

If you Google News TACA, Ontario there are some interesting stories.

Being from the E coast, when I first started reading the story I thought "Why the hell would they divert a flight from LA to Canada?"

I bet it was all about the money. TACA too god-damn cheap to pay the customs agents to come to Ontario to de-plane the PAX. :x :x :x
