Checked the MSp-MIA-SJO route, but need to spend a day waiting in the airport to save 100 bucks or so, and I have a real hard time paying to drive on bad roads on my way to ORD and even then I do not save much after a 8 hour drive. I just wondering why with with oil way down they seem to charging rates higher then when oil was at its peak? Also what get me, it almost cheaper to go from MSP-IAH-SJO, then for IAH-SJO.. One varation had me going MSP-MIA-Memphis-IAH SJO for the same price, But what gets me its the same flight to IAH to SJO as a straight line south flight .. Any ways I hoping that price on this route may drop after new year and then Even then I doubt it will raise any more, so i hold off on the tickects but make hotel and medical reservations in the next few weeks
I doubt you will find an airline flying anywhere in the US that has increased flight numbers in the past year. Most have cut considerably. Less planes flying the same routes. Demand if anything has increased dramatically every year. They really have no reason to cut costs.
Tons of deals still exist, you just have to look for them.
