No more CRT discounts at the Presidente. I was told at the desk that after December 31, 2008 there will be no more discounts.

No big loss. Almost none of my friends stay there anymore anyway. 3 years ago, about half of them stayed there. And with the new rooms open at the Sportsmans Lodge as well as Places like the Freebird, Amisted, etc, we shouldn't be affected .

The handwriting has been on the wall for quite sometime. I don't think that many members are surprised that they finally made the change. The new question is when will they institute a chica fee?

haha How the times change, ya just gotta hang around here long enough... I remember being chastised a couple of years back for dissing on the Presidente. Never thought it was that special... And it was like I blasphemed.. Who will be the next CRT icon to dissappoint? hmm

Thought the current discount was only for VIPs.

It's not that big of a deal. As I said on another thread they might be making a mistake by going this route with the economy being the way it is. For me I have trouble getting a room at the Prez from Jan-April (high season) and no problems the rest of the year. This year when they were full I just stayed somewhere else. (Clarion)

My best guess is that they dont think it will effect their occupancy by taking away the discount because their CRT customers who like the place will just pay the extra money. Time will tell but in the dog days of summer they are likely to have a few more empty rooms.

THEMAN, THEMANN, THEMAAN. Is that really important? Just another example of the nonsense and drivel that has become the norm on this board lately.

I used to be a big fan of the Prez, but I've moved on to the Amistad, the frequent unavailibility of rooms for the dates I wanted was the prime cause for that. The great CRT discount was the main reason I liked to stay there. Now that it's gone I'm not paying $90 or whatever it will be for a standard room when the Amistad has been remodeled and has very nice rooms that with the CRT discount can be had for less than $60.

No not that important just thought it was THEMAN so please forgive me if I was mistaken, besides just what does your spiteful angry post contribute to the board? If you have some personal problem with me I'm not hard to find, come down to the gulch instead of making such a miserable ass of yourself on the board, but that has also become the norm hasn't it? Hateful posts like yours have no place here and discourage others from participating and probably from even joining the forum.

Yes the discontinuation of the discount was mentioned a while back, a shame but am currently enjoying a stay here along with several other members. As far as we know there's no chica fee in the immediate future but it wouldn't surprise me if it happens one day. Kind of nice and quiet here with 70% of the rooms currently closed for remodeling.

I don't know who "THEMANN" is, but he ain't me. The only times I ever post on this board is to flame that jerk Prolijo (and occassionally the real jerk B***B*** who is such an a-hole even his name has been banned from this board).

Paco (or others still staying there), please keep us posted of any changes to their chica fees and policies. Most of us have moved on and are staying elsewhere by now, but I'm sure lots of the Prez's former regulars would be curious to know when the final crack closes.
