Location: S. Florida
Sleep Inn: $91 per night (including taxes and over-50 discount)

Upside:
This is a real hotel like in the U.S.
Free airport shuttle, round trip
Free hot breakfast buffet
Free internet computers in the lobby
Small gym with treadmill and weights
Incredible location - walk out the front door, thru the casino (good exchange rate $), and you're at the DR
Chicas enjoy the "luxury" atmosphere
After the chicas left, the front desk called me to make sure everything was alright.

Downside:
$25 chica fee

Bottom line: For short stays I will definitely repeat. For longer stays when I plan a dozen or so dates, the fees would be too costly.

It was funny because I tried to nonchalantly walk past the front desk with my chica. Nope. Wrong. She walked directly to the desk to sign in. I respect that because she works here and she needs to play by the rules.

At $25 a pop (I guess pop is the right word) some of our esteemed members with voratious appetites could go broke staying there for an extended period of time.

I agree with both of you!!! I stayed at The Sleep Inn my last trip and the hotel is very nice -- the free shuttle, free breakfast, great location, very nice rooms, etc. But if you are planning to have a multitude of visitors, the $25 fee can add up quickly.

All those upsides notwithstanding, $25 gets you an hour at La Mansion or 1/2 at one of the more upscale. No brainer for me. I go to CR to get away from "U. S. Style". But each to his own.
