O.K.....I just booked 6 nights at the S.L. in Mid December. I felt like splurging a little and made my reservation with Yency (by the way...she was sweet and sounded hot....) and asked for the "Master Suite" as it was listed on the Website. She referred to it as the "Presidential Suite" (said the Master Suite and Presidential Suite are the same thing). Does that sound right? Is there only one of those suites? Anyone that's stayed in that room and has any comments I would appreciate any feedback. Be there from 12/11 on. Thx.

If that's the same room I stayed in for one night I wouldn't recommend it. It was large and had a separate sitting room with it's own couches and TV, but to me it was all downhill from there. I wrote about it in my last trip report, and will include that part below. I agree completely with Cujo, the new wing is better in every respect.

Also I had to stay for one night in the Presidential Suite by the front door, and it was absolutely terrible. Although very large with a seperate sitting room with TV, it was old and musty smelling. And worse was the location. All night long you hear the clip clop of chicas shoes and people talking as they come and go. And just as bad there are several small windows which are not covered, and are almost impossible to put a towel over and bright lights shine directly into the bedroom through them. I slept all of 1 hour that night. If I could not stay in the new wing, I would stay at another hotel.

The Presidential suite is the first door on the right as you enter the SL. After midnight the place is pretty quiet. I stayed in El Dorado upstairs in the new wing. Although the room was a little small, it was relatively quiet.

Ask for El Rey in the new wing. Nice room, seperate kitchenette and seperate garden/sitting area type place. Would be a GREAT room for an extended stay. IMHO
