How do you guys feel about making a reservations on searchcostarica.com for the interbus to pick you up from a hotel in the city and taking you to SJO for a departing flight? are they reliable enough, so I do not miss my flight? $6.00 seems like a good deal, but if I am going to miss my flight I be better off in a cab.

Any help is greatly appriciated. I plan of going in the end of november for thanksgiving, to give thanks to all the chicas, lol.

They use Interbus which is very reliable. You can book IB directly for $7.

Note: They pick you up 4 hours before your flight. That means you will most likely have a 3 hour wait at the airport.

All of the reports that I've seen say that searchcostarica IS as reliable as booking direct and for a buck less. Its your call if you'd rather pay a little more and book through the InterbusOnline site if that makes you feel more comfortable.

To back up Sr. Prolijo: I used this service last week both ways and was fine with it. They'll run the bus even if (as in my case) you're the only passenger. Another kudos to Steven1 for finding this service.

I found the http://www.searchcostarica.com service more than excellent. The emails are swift; one can use PayPal to pay, so there is no fax nonsense of a copy of your credit card which InterBus pays for; the owner of searchcostarica.com has a long standing relationship with InterBus (he is was the CIO and the IT guy at InterBus before he set up searchcostarica.com); one gets personal attention from this man instead of going through a myriad of clerks within InterBus; he responds to emails swiftly if there are any problems (which I have not had) and he's just a good guy; from CR; who is now in the USA.

http://www.searchcostarica.com ALSO has transport services to most all of the other places InterBus services and ALWAYS at a cheaper rate. Simply being able to use PayPal to charge the service is worth it for me.....but that's just me....
