For all you CO fans, is their 24hr refund policy always honored?

Can I just cancel any ticket I bought for any reason within 24 hours and incur no fees whatsoever?

Do I have to buy the ticket from them directly or can I buy from Orbitz or Expedia, etc?

Thanks.

And another question... how much time (minimum) would I need to get through immigration and make the connection in Houston?

SJO--> HOU--> EWR

IAH is one of the better airports for speedy passage through customs and immigration. I would still allow a minimum of 1 hour, but I have actually made it from aircraft door to door in 21 minutes.

I agree with that assessment. Anything between 20-30 minutes tops. It is more based on how quickly you can walk from the plane to immigration.

Orange,

I'm not the nervous type and so I don't try to get to the airport too early or insist on having several hours to connect. On my way to SJO, I often take flights that only give me 36 minutes to connect to my HOU-SJO leg. OTOH, when returning, even though, as Srilm points out, immigration is fast, that is not the problem, IMO. I have almost missed my connection twice because of long delays leaving SJO. It was to the point that the agent was passing out hotel vouchers, but I did manage to make it. In each case, the connection time was an hour and forty minutes.

Ciaociao

1. Yes. Continental is very customer friendly. Within 24 hours, a full refund/credit to the initial form of payment.

The above is true, but note that the processing of the refund could take from 7 to 21 business days depending on how the fare was purchased. Be careful not to encumber your credit card with too many canceled fares.

From Continental's website:
Quote:
Refund processed within 7 business days of the request:
Credit card

Refund processed within 20 business days of the request:
Cash or Check
TeleCheck
Bill Me Later®
continental.com Gift Certificates
continental.com Gift Account
Electronic Travel Certificate (ETC)
Western Union (excluding any service fees)
