Were they by any chance trying to sell you this "Tourist Card"?
The only "Tourist Card" that I know of that you need, you should already have for joining this wesite.

This is the first time I read about this but some site said a "tourist card" was required to visit CR? Does anyone know anything about this? I was just going to use my passport? Is there anything I need to do at a CR consulate? |

No, just your passport is required. Before leaving CR you will have to pay a $26.00 departure tax. |
