I just received a "Fare Saver Alert" from American Airlines.

Fly from August 21 thru October 31. Minimum 2 nights stay. Maximum 30 days. Price is $158 R/T. (plus taxes I'd imagine). Not sure if you have to book your flights before a certain date. But if anyone's interested, you should probably book ASAP, before they change their minds!.

Any of the S. Florida posse might want to take a look at this one!

Buena Suerte Amigos,
MG

Hey thanks for the pass along. That is a great price. Too bad I booked 2 weeks ago on Spirit for $188/RT out of FLL, and I thought that was a good price :!: :!:

That was a good price. As long as Spirit doesn't pull their usual crap, it'll be worth it.

Yep...last year at this time they were at 98 r/t + taxes for 158 total. This year 219. Pretty good. Same deal from FLL. Spirit has matched it. Of course it depends on the day.

Prob gonna book mid Sep.

I went on the AA site and couldn't find it but how do I sign up for this "Fare Saver Alert"? Thx. Does TACA also have a similar thing?

Honestly, I've been in AA's system for a long time, and I can't remember how I signed up for Fare Alerts. But I'm sure you can go to their website, and there's got to be somewhere to sign up for e-mail alerts. If memory serves, you have to go to your personal Aadvantage Account, and do it there.

As far as Taca, don't know anything about their guidelines.

You can also download AA's DealFinder software onto your computer which will give you a permanent ticker on your desktop with realtime updates. This way you can buy the dips the moment they become available.

Also join Spirits' 9 dollar fare club.

Last night I booked my Sept trip for $79.02....$9 + $9 = $18 r/t plus $61.02 taxes and fees. :D :D :D
