Just bought an American Airlines ticket from FLL to SJO for $259 including taxes.

AA now shows $158 +tax r/t to costa rica, and $198 +tax to LAX, thru end of Oct.

I was surprised to see AA less expensive than Spirit. Spirit wanted 350-400. I'm leaving 8/29 and returning 9/1.

Don't mean to be a downer but only prolem is that the flight may have to turn back pre-maturely due to smoke (again) coming from the cockpit.

I mean what is that now 3 times in the last 8-10 months same prolem?? Kinda scary.

I think the others were on 757s also?? I would still fly AA but try to avoid the 757s.

AA has been pretty cheap for a few months now. When I got home from my trip in May, I got a fare alert for the second week of August, $320 return from Detroit. Had to book it...DTW is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from where I live, but I'd never see that kind of fare out of Toronto.

see the airlines heard the whorehouses were going to be closed ,so they started lowering their prices.. they knew less people would be going down.
