I've been traveling to CR since 1994 and have stayed all over the country. I used to avoid staying in the gulch as most of my time in-country was spent with non-mongering crowds. This trip was my first time to stay at the SL and spent the entire week there.

Rooms were great... I was in the newer section with my wingman next door. The service was the best I have ever encountered in CR.. even compared to the high priced resorts. Bill runs a great place.

The bar is fun at night and relaxing during the day. I don't remember not having someone to visit with at any time of the day. The bartenders are awesome and will take great care of you.

Only complaint was one little bartender jumped my sh*t because I mispronounced a word in Spanish. What? KMA... at least I'm trying! Hey the little chica didn't mind that I asked her if she would like a kiss instead of a drink.. beso... bebedis.. whatever. She (the chica) just smiled and accepted both!

Oh, and for transportation I used Gerardo Artavia from SL. He was honest fairly priced and treated me and my guests like gentlemen.

There are lots of hotels in the gulch... I've stayed in many of them over the years. But from now on.. I'm staying with Bill and SL.

See you in October!

total agreement. This was my first trip and I stayed at the presidente. I made friends with other CRT members and ended up spending all my time at SL,except when I took a tica back to the presidente. great people, great service. all my future trips will be at the SL.

Everything you said was true. Just remember to book way in advance. The rooms at the SL are filling up quicker and quicker.
