Post subject:  Spirit Hell

I meant to post this last week, but just got covered up at work...

I flew Spirit out of FLL to SJO Fri. July 18 on the mid-morning flight, 10:40. What an utter disaster :!: Spirit is ill-equipped to handle the crush of international flight mid-morning to say the least. They have cut drastically back on ticket agents.

I arrived @ 8am for my 10:40 flight and only made it on the plane with BS and an OJ Simpson like sprint past the Gates to the plane. While the line was trickling inside the terminal from the outside, that eventually came to a halt as they started pulling groups of people out of line for their Cancun 10am flight. My advice if you are in that line and they start pulling people out....just go with them. All they do is take you out of the outside line and bring you inside to wait for a ticket agent. Once you get to the desk just check in like normal.

DO NOT let them tell you they will hold the plane or your seat if you get stuck outside. They WILL sell those seats and you WILL be on the 10pm flight that night :!:

I did talk to one of the Airport flunkies and she told me there is noone in line between 7 and 7:30, so I guess if you have that flight out get there WAY early.

I will post a report on Flamingo/ Sugar Beach later.

Sorry about your bad experience, I fly Spirit out of Atl and to date have never had an issue, but I have seen some really unhappy campers at the desk on more than on ocassion. seems like they cut the help to keep prices down, Next month I am flying Spirit , my ticket with tax and bs fees was 390 and Delta same times was 802 was a no brainer

Yea I took it more of a live and learn kind of thing...you get what you pay for...so you have to be willing to adjust

Last time I flew American out of Miami with ZERO problems...well if you don't count a "broken part" on the plane and a 5 hour delay a problem   I actually found the Spirit employees to be a pretty friendly group...and the flight attendant on the trip home was a bona fide 8 :!:

The bonus to the long line at FLL, was getting to meet a very hot Columbiana flying back to Cartegena...which by the way was packed with hotties :!:

Tstef,
Let us know how you like Flamingo. If you get a chance, stop by the Flamingo Beach Resort Hotel, and say hello to my business partner, Victor! Just ask anyone - they'll know who you're talking about!

Pura Vida,
MG
